Waterproof 'Basha' and/or 'Bivi Bag'

For overnight games you will only be able to use two different types of shelter from the elements, the basha and the bivi bag. The basha is basically the waterproof flysheet from a normal tent without the tent frame. This exposes you to the some of the environmental conditions (such as wind and ambient temperature) that are reduced by tents, but should keep you dry if properly set up. Bivi bags are waterproof covers for your sleeping bag that keep the rain off you by sealing you in a cocoon. These are only really effective if they are made out of technical waterproof fabrics that allow the moisture that you generate to escape from within. Therefore, these bags can be very expensive relative to the cost of a basha. As a team we have all tried camping both with and without a bivi bag. In our opinion if you are not using a tent the Bivi bag it is well worth the £40 - £80 cost. This coupled with a Basha makes an excellent sleep system and a comfortable night in most weather
