Definitions:

Hit A ‘hit’ occurs when either (i) a BB strikes a player, their equipment, and/or their weapon (this includes ricochets), or (ii) the player is within 5 metres of a deployed pyrotechnic that has been classified as ‘lethal’ (BB grenades and Yellow Smoke). OP Observation Post

1) Minimum age limit is 18 years old.

2) Any person being unnecessarily abusive or aggressive will be asked to leave the current game & return to the Safe Zone to ‘cool off’. They will be allowed to join the next game. Any continuation of bad behaviour will result in the person being asked to leave the site immediately and will be permanently banned.

3) The Safe Zone is demarked as the car park. Refer to the maps handed to you by the resident team members at the initial morning briefing. When in the Safe Zone your weapon must never be loaded. All magazines must be removed and the weapon cleared when entering the area. A test fire range is located nearby. This will be indicated to you by one of the Spartan Milsim club. Side arms, unless holstered must also never be loaded & carried in the safe area.

4) Due to the size of the site audible signals are needed for emergencies. Spartan Milsim club use international emergency whistle signals. If you hear six whistle blasts alert a Sparten team member and return immediately to the Safe Zone at the car park.

5) The velocity limits for the site are as follows;

1joule/328fps (with a 0.2g BB) for AEG’s. 1.35 joules/377fps (with a 0.2g BB) for single shot & support weapons.

These figures are subject to a +5% accuracy threshold. All weapons being used at the site for the first time are liable to be chronographed. Any weapons found to be over the above limits will be excluded from play.

6) BB’s must be biodegradable.

7) Eye protection is mandatory. Full-face protection is recommended but not mandatory. Suitable CE approved impact resistant shooting glasses must be worn as a minimum. Eye protection must never be removed outside of the Safe Zone. Anyone seen without their eye protection for whatever reason will be asked to leave the site.

8) Even though the site is private land there is public access under the Countryside Rights of Way Act. However, being an isolated site it is rare for members of the public to appear. Be respectful and courteously answer any questions they may ask. We have written permission to be on the site from the Forestry Commission.

9) Spartan uses "In Game" marshal's. Your honesty and integrity is relied upon to provide a smooth running skirmish. Anyone found consistently cheating will be asked to leave the site immediately and permanently banned. Be respectful to your fellow skirmishers, take your hits and enjoy the day. Anyone reported not taking hits will be firstly be verbally informed that a complaint has been made about their game play. Allowing for confusion/heat of battle etc they will be permitted to continue playing. Persistent complaints &/or evidence witnessed by Spartan Milsim club members will result in the player being asked to leave the site immediately and permanently banned. Honesty is the cornerstone of our sport and we will not tolerate blatant cheating on the site. Further to this a player consistently accusing another of cheating when clearly they have not been will not be tolerated either. Refer to Item 2.

10) Spartan Milsim club uses a ‘bang’ and/or ‘surrender’ rule for short-range engagements. If an opponent less than 5 metres from you do not shoot if at all possible. Call ‘bang’/’surrender’ and indicate to the player that they have been hit.

11) No deliberate headshots are allowed. Do not abuse this rule to gain advantage; if you only expose your head it then becomes a target.

12) Pyrotechnics are allowed on the site. However during periods of dry weather their use may be suspended due to fire risk. Players will be informed at the initial site safety briefing. Visitors to the site may bring their own pyrotechnics, however an Spartan Milsim club member must clear these for use. If an explosive pyrotechnic detonates within 5 metres of a player it is deemed a hit.

13) No campfires are permitted anywhere at any time. Portable gas stoves can be used. No smoking at any time in the forest.



14) Simple medic rules are used in most games. Please Click Here to read or a Spartan Milsim club member will provide a copy for anyone to read. They must be fully understood before the start of play.

15) Edged tools (axes, entrenching tools, knives, folding saws) are permitted on site providing that they are used for legitimate purposes, such as constructing OPs, sleeping areas, and camouflage. (see section 20). Players are legally responsible for carrying and using such items. Anyone wielding these in an antisocial manner will be handed over to the authorities with a full complaint from the team and banned from the site.

16) Players are responsible for their own health and safety. The Spartan Milsim club site presents some health and safety challenges, such as trip hazards. It is the responsibility of the players to negotiate these in a safe way.

17) The Spartan Milsim club members shall be obeyed at all times & their decision is final.

18) No litter should be discarded anywhere in the gaming area.

19) Do not deliberately damage any live trees.
